WHO ARE THE “SOCIAL ENGINEERS,” AND WHAT IS THEIR GOAL?
(Oct. 7, 2019) — At 1:00 p.m. EDT, Jason Goodman of the Crowdsource the Truth” YouTube channel hosted The Post & Email’s editor to discuss the false allegation made against her by a Washington State resident in July and its dismissal in early September.
As we reported on Friday, a complaint made to the Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) alleged that the editor had unleashed “mental abuse” against a “vulnerable adult.”
During the course of the investigation, the editor learned that the complaint was “vague” and failed to specify dates and times of the alleged “abuse.”
On September 5, 2019, the complaint was closed as “unsubstantiated.” Because the mailed notification never reached the editor, she did not learn of the decision until October 3 after inquiring of the assigned social worker as to the case’s status.
The discussion led to the wider problem of online and person-to-person allegations made in apparent retaliation for perceived slights in a society in which some consider themselves constantly victimized regardless of their own behavior.
Goodman has experienced considerable retaliation as a result of his broadcasts, he detailed during the interview, and both he and editor Sharon Rondeau agreed that honest journalism is under attack by agenda-driven “social engineers,” as Goodman put it.
